Old Falls (Pazhaya Courtallam)
Old Falls regionally known as pazhaya courtallam is situated along with the road to Tenkasi.The 200 ft Fall features steps that are cut into rocks for breaking flow of cascading water. Nearby falls are orchard falls (pazhathotta aruvi) and New Falls

FIVE FALLS
Five Falls is one of the favoured sites of travellers visiting Courtallam and
is located at a distance of 4 km from the town. These falls split into five
sections before cascading vertically at Aravankadu Pass.
The cluster of five falls is often compared with five heads of a hooded
cobra by the natives. Three of the five falls are open for men, whereas
women can have access of two falls. Swami Ayyappa Temple and Vinayaka
Temple located nearby the waterfall is among the highlights of location.
Main Falls
Main Falls, also known as Peraruvi is the biggest and most frequented
waterfall among the nine falls. The water stream cascades downstream
from an altitude of 60 m at the location. Located in the town centre, the
water stream is also a worship place for the locals.
The stream experiences an off season from November to January, when it
dries up. During the peak months, the site is frequented by travellers from
around the country. The shrine of Thirukootachalanathar temple,
dedicated to Sri Thirukutralanathar (Lord Shiva) and Kuzhalvaimozhi
Amman (Goddess), grabs attention of tourists.

Honey Falls (Then Aruvi)
Honey Falls (Thenaruvi) is one of the major tourist spots of the region,
which is situated 4 km from the Main falls. The water stream is named
after beehives that are formed on the face of the rock during dry season.
The beautiful waterfall of horseshoe shape falls from three sides come
together to form a small lake. The natural lake formed in the midst of
rainforests along with mighty rock formations is an experience in itself.


Shenbaga Aruvi
Shenbaga (Chembakadevi) Falls is one of the revered places in the region.
The beautiful waterfall is positioned on the way to Honey Falls. This
location can also be accessed from the Main Falls, which is also a popular
trekking route. It is located at a distance of 3 km from the Main Falls.
Chembakadevi Falls is named after the name of nearby village, Shenbaga
Devi that features a temple of Goddess Shenbaga Devi, reincarnation of
Goddess Durga. Owing to religious significance, devotees visit the place in
large number to pay homage. Fragrant Shenbaga flowers on the way to
the temple are a popular buy to be offered at the shrine.
